Yet Another Blog Facelift

Expect this year I have a plan. I've actually written a list on this amazing app on my phone.

I need to show you this app. It’s called Colour Note and it saves my life on a daily biases. I found it in the Google App Store but I’m not sure if its available for iPhone users.

Here are a few screen shots I captured:

This is what it looks like when you open the app

I use this just for notes, but you can use it as a calender. Also, it archives for you and it can be synced with your computer!

The Note section gives you the chance to make a 'Text' or a 'Checklist' and you also have the  option of locking your notes!
This is what I wrote on my list. W can hopefully expect to see these in the new year! Also, when you've completed the item, when you click on it, it crosses its self out! I just forgot to cross something off so you can see it.
It can also be organised in a few different ways. Because it can be colour coded, and  locked the possiblites are endless!
It’s pretty straight forward and all kinds of awesome and hopefully will help me get my but into gear, blog wise.

#POST 25

She blogs, I blog.

I just skimmed through the various posts of my dear friend Melissa. Can I just take a second to comment on how awesome this girl is? She’s made this health plan to work out and loose a few stray pounds; but her goal isn’t to lose weight, it’s to feel good about herself and be a better healthy version of herself. The world needs more Melissa’s—seriously. Now of course, I haven’t skinned her blog in forever so I went back a few posts and she did a lot of venting.

It makes me want to vent via blog. And so this is a bitch post—buckle up!

So let me start off with the usual drag story of boys. Boys are yucky. Boys are gross. They make me want to wash my hands at every sink I happen to come across. Tell me, why am I attracted to these….creatures? Ugh.  So every time I come home from London, I’ve been hanging out with a friend of my Ex’s.  Before the question pops into your mind; no my ex isn’t aware that we’re hanging out together, nor do I care if he’s aware or not.  To be completely honest (here I go admitting secrets to the internet) it was my friendship with this guy that had a strong factor in my breaking up with my ex. He’s good looking. Like way above average in my books for Cambridge kids. And he listens to what I’ve got to say AND responds. Strange? You bet. And every time I come down I find myself wondering if he’s free and wants to hang out (we live literally three seconds away from each other). I always have such a great time with him, and we’re always laughing and having an actual-not forced conversation. I never have natural flowing conversations with boys that I have nothing in common with. He teaches taekwondo and is literally the polar opposite of me. It’s weird. I kind of do have a thing for him (I defiantly just cringed in my chair a little bit there) but I would never in a million years try that theory out. We live in two different cities, and I have difficulty maintaining relationships with my friends let alone a..ugh…significant friend. It would just be all sorts of awful. Now usually, that’s the end of that. But, its not. At Fanshawe, there is a kid who my roommates want me to date. It’s a guy from their program; he’s a few years older than me and very cute. But, we have nothing in common, and trying to have a flowing conversation without joking around every few seconds is like pulling teeth. He’s always physically hurt, which is weird. He’s currently going through his second or third process of implanting false teeth. And he’s had an obscene amount of stitches. There’s just always something physically wrong with the kid. Um, can you calm down and not get so drunk that you need to be hospitalized for a minute? I could work with that, I really could. The thought of having a significant man-friend is so appealing which is really the only reason why I’m sticking around to see if it goes anywhere. It’s awful, I know but I do think about him from time to time. Ugh, I wish I could just not care about any of this kind of stuff just like the beginning of school, where being single or taken was not even a thought that would cross my mind. Well that’s my little run-on-sentence on boys.

Now, my grades. I suck at school, I really do. I can’t study and I really am not concerned with missing an assignment. But I should be, because these assignments are worth so much! Ah I was I was normal, and you know, gave a fuck about what I was doing. Take now for instance. I should be studying for the two midterms I have coming up. Instead I’m blogging about how I’m going to fail because I’m not studying. I really should be more concerned but I can really think about right now is the fact that I’m tired and kind of hungry. Really hungry actually. God I want food, food fixes everything.

Tacos would be great.

#POST 24

I haven’t blogged in a while. I guess I should start up again! So I’ve spent about a month in college now and trust me, when they say college changes you, they meant it. I feel…more like a slut really! Not in the way I dress, but in the way I’ve been acting. Ah well, if there ever was an appropriate time to slut up it would be now. I’m pretty sure I’d just got a high five from my favourite How I Met Your Mother character Barney for that comment.
Although, since starting college I’ve seen an obscene amount of boys peeing, none of them unknown (unfortunately) to me and trust me I wasn’t trying to take a look! Fanshawe is pretty awesome, mainly because of this amazing find though:

Yeah, that shit is real Potter Heads, the Deathly Hallows will follow you erry’ where! The inner nerd in me completely flipped out upon this discovery in one of the cafes in the school. Let me tell you I was so stoked and my poor friend Dave was just so confused. Oh well, I know some people who would find that incredible, like Biltmony Maxamillion. (She did find it amazing for the record.)

My program is amazing! It’s so close knit. We went camping for a full week up in Musokoa in the first few weeks of September. It was amazing! Now let me tell you, being brown town, I don’t get out of the house a lot. I absolutely loved this kind of ‘camping’. I would have been so stoked to go to a place like Pinecrest, or similar to it. I made some really great friendships there that I won’t probably ever forget. Our group made these ‘burn bracelets’. The group leaders (2 years in my program) bought a giant rope, cut them long enough to wrap around our wrists and then fused them together with a lighter. Yes, you’re thought process is correct; they were lit on fire, while on our wrists, after they cooled off though they looked really cool.
The point is that they wouldn’t come off and that us as a group would always be connected by these bracelets. Of course being the small thing I am, I slipped mine off to shower and what not.

It really changed some people too. The last night, there was this talent show and the shyest kid in the whole program came up along with Nate, (a kid in my class who is unaware of how socially awkward he is, but we all love him anyways) and they rapped up a storm in front of our entire camping family! It was incredible! The rap was god awful but the fact that he came up to do it, and the reinforcement from Nate was just heart-warming. When they were done, we cheered like the Beatles were on stage for him. He came back on stage a few seconds after and said, ‘We should all just have one big hug.’ Something you gotta know about Rec and Leisure kids, when you say group hug, we mean group hug. All 150ish of us ran up to hug this kid. It was so inspiring and amazing just to witness and be a part of that!
So far, I’m loving the college life! Maybe I’ll do a fashion post or a food post next time! I’m stoked regardless.

#POST 22

This is a sleep deprived post written because I am awake and tonight is worth writing about. First off my night started with my friend’s 20th birthday party. That was really boring and I do not feel bad saying that I was glad to leave. The plus side to the borefest was that I did not arrive there until 11:30 PM and this is where my night begins.

My friend Kolacz and I left to head up to the local Timmys at 2 AM. We decided that we would grab some grub and then climb Clemens Mill, our old elementary school. On our way to Timmy’s we stop across the street of another one of our friends, Mike. Out of tipsy-ness and the sense of adventure, we call him up and in about five minutes he to is on our way with us to Timmy’s. Kolacz and I thought it was so funny to call Mike up, and then we thought ‘Fuck Yeah Mike!’ for leaving his house at 2:30 AM to do some adventuring. We all make our way to Timmy’s and Kolacz parts ways with us for a few minutes to grab some cash so I could buy him some smokes. Being the only legal one out of the three of us he was really thankful that I had bought him them.

After our food stop we headed off to the school. It’s about 20 after 3 AM at this time. On the way we discover that Mike has a fear of heights, but like a champ he was willing to overcome his fear. Kolacz helps Mike and I get up on the first story and the view is just amazing. The trees look like a plastic model and the houses look as if they were carved carefully out of clay. When Kolacz gets himself on the first level, he leads us to the ladder of where the second story entrance was. I climbed up the cold ladder and discovered that the view form the first landing was absolutely nothing compared to what my eyes were taking in. It was quiet and peaceful, with just the sounds of the covered ceiling fans and the wind blowing around you. The entire city of Cambridge looked like, as Kolacz put it, a carefully crafted doll town. The houses looked perfect, the trees looked like small toys and the roads all disappeared with their bends and turns around corners. You could see for miles.

The time was now 4 AM. The beauty of the city completely consumes your mind, and then I looked up. The sky was wonderful. The clouds wrapped around the atmosphere like loose cotton fluff and moved at a painfully slow rate round the earth. The three of us laid on our backs and looked up at the sky, completely mesmerized by scattered stars and dream like clouds. There were no trees, or buildings obstructing our view of the limitless night sky before us. It was one of the most amazing experiences I’d ever had in my life.
I would also like to note that I did all of this in 3 inch heels. I feel very accomplished. I like to think that I was the first one ever to be on top of that school with heels that high. I got home at 10 to 5.

Now I am listening to Discovery by Daft Punk and finishing up this post. It was too amazing not to blog about.

#POST 18 A letter to You, a recipient that will never read this.

This is why I don't let you hug me. Because you hurt me to the point where I shed a few tears when explaining to my best friend (who might as well listen and react in the same fashion as a rock) why I was such an emotional wreck. You were in my head. You took over my thoughts. When I saw you my stomach dropped and sometimes I jumped. It shocked me every time because I was so used to you at one point in my life. I finally had a shoulder to lean on without the need for me to feel awkward, or an emo loser.  You were the first person who kissed me, and I’m not talking about my first kiss ever, I’m talking about my first kiss with someone who was kissing me not because it was a dare, or because we were drunk, but because I had minimal make up, having a horrible day and you just wanted to. Without any substance or encouragement form anything or anyone else. To me, that was special, and probably something I will never forget. Another thing I will always remember is your hugs, and how for some reason when you hugged me I immediately felt better. That was a feeling I had never experienced before. And the more you hugged me, the safer I felt. I was becoming addicted to them. I even found comfort in your scent. I remember inhaling deeply every time purely because it made me forget what ever was going on for just that moment.

I never told you anything too deep, but somehow got you talking about things that you kept to yourself. Personal subjects, subjects I felt were told to me because I gained your trust. How silly of me to think of that, right? Because soon you wouldn’t even look at my face, say hello or even acknowledge the fact that I was alive. Now I’m used to that treatment. Honestly. I have even giving it to some people in my life as well. At first it hurt, but I just told my self, ‘Meh, I guess it was good while it lasted.’ And waited for myself to move on. But I never did. I’m still waiting. Why? I have no clue. I don’t like being in the same room with you anymore. You terrify me. The things you can do to me without you knowing are things that I rather not you find out. My stomach still drops. My head still spins. You still look the other way. And that hurts me the most, because I still don’t know why. I hate it the most, when you do talk to me, and I find my self struggling to keep the conversation, even though it was dead from the start. Why do I try so hard for you? You don’t care. I know the results. Why am I acting as if you were a huge part of my life? Why do I want to keep you in it? If there was one thing I hate more than anything about you now, is how bitter I am towards you about all of this. How I feel. And I feel it every time I see your picture, when I notice you in public. It kills me.

I literally want you. Not in a sexual way. I just want you to notice that I do live in the same town as you. I want you to just say hello. Smile at me, because you know I have a smile glued onto my face. Weather I want it there or not. I want you to hug me one more time. One more safe hug. That’s all really. You made me feel like a person for once. I guess I’m so hooked up on you because I want that feeling again. The sense of security, knowing that I could come to you with a feeling and you would actually talk to me instead of saying ‘that sucks’ like everyone else. I wish we were still friends. I don’t even know what we are anymore. I don’t care, but at the same time I do.  I just don’t like this hold you have on me. I want you to let go. But then again, you have no idea it’s you. You don’t know what’s going on. You don’t care. And why should you? You moved on. You got over it. I clearly did not impact you as much as you did to me. So what does it matter?

It doesn’t.

#POST 13 Camera Settings.

Now, if you are into photography, I apologize for my over excitement for these crappy photos.
But, moving on, isn't this so cool? I Think they are amazing. I found this Panoramic setting on my digital camera and it lets me take photos of  large places and spaces and people and things. Amazing isn't?

My Room, messy, but mine.
 Ground Level
Clothes, shoes, dolls, and towel
Bookshelves, Necklaces, Belts
The nook in my room where the above mentionables are.
My momma in the livingroom.
Me, in the place where my momma was, my sock and my living room.

Now on a different note, the 7 Deadly Makeovers project I'm doing will probably not be posted until next year (only a month) because of my lack of commitment, I want to do and take pictures of all 7 makeovers  at once and upload them in 7 actual days. None of that upload one and upload the next in three months stuff. None at all. :)

#POST 05 Bub and Cheese

This is a post dedicated to my best friend Bub.

We are polar opposites. You can run and I can barley walk. I love style and you like whatever’s clean. We love dirty jokes and conversation. I don’t know how we got so close, because we are so contradictory.  You’re in university; I’m jobless and out of school. You’re born and raised here and you are the most foreign person I know. Foreign people are my biggest pet peeve (there I said it) thus you baffle me. I know you on a personal level, and about me you know just the bare basics. You are there for me when I let you, and I will always be here for you. You’re kind of my best friend and I find my self pondering why. Its not a bad thing, but thus it is a thing that is odd. My friendships never last, never survive hurricanes and tornados. They shrivel up and die in the whirl wind, but here you and I are four years strong. You are strong and I am weak. I am strong and you are weak. We balance each other out. We see each other through a weird coloured glass. I can’t begin to think about the horrors that would claim me if the natural causes do claim our friendship, your my best friend and I never want to lose you.
